If there is one book all traders and investors should read it is: This Time is Different : Eight Centuries of Financial Folly by Kenneth Rogoff & Carmen Rheinhart. I actually bought this book expecting it to be a dry, economic (and therefore boring) tome and even took it on holiday with me (how sad is that) BUT I am so glad I did because not only is it quite easy to read but nails that old chestnut “but this time it’s different” – IT IS NOT – we just have very, short memories!
Kenneth Rogoff has now turned his attention to the euro and has written that with currency movements so difficult to predict (if at all) “2010 was an exceptionally tough year” and in this article gives his reasons as to why, in his opinion, “the Euro looks set to win the race to the bottom.”
