At the start of the London forex trading session I take a closer look at the British pound, a currency I trade daily, and in particular one of my favourite pairs, the GBP/AUD. This is a cross pair which moves and with momentum and yesterday delivered a classic example of understanding the session crossovers and how they impact moves in the forex market. And as they say in football, it was a game of two halves with an excellent trend higher in the morning session, before the US session opened with the trend stalling and reversing as sentiment changed. It is one of those events we are always on the lookout for and you can think of session crossovers as the rising and falling of the tide each day, a cyclical event which happens at the same time as one forex trading centre joins another.
